All Natural: The Best Acne Treatment
Acne is a very unpleasant condition to be burdened with; it can be both humiliating and it can hurt your ego. Many people resort to spending thousands of dollars on over the counter treatments, with little or no success.
Although there are many traditional treatment options available, almost all contain harmful chemicals, which cannot be good for your skin. As an alternative to these harsh chemicals, you can use a natural acne treatment; which is the focus of this article.
There are many treatment options available to the health conscious consumer including tea tree oil, herbs, aloe, and sulfur. All have their own purpose, each being useful in different situations. In the following paragraphs we will look at each, and learn a little about their uses.
The first, and my favorite, is without doubt tea tree oil. This ‘herb’ has a long history as a treatment for infection, going all the way back to Aboriginal Australians who used it well over one hundred years ago. The reason it works is because the oil naturally contains antimicrobial agents that fight infection.
Next are herbs of various types, my favorite being yellow dock, sarsaparilla, and sandalwood. The reason that I like yellow dock is because it can be applied topically to the acne, and in some cases it will give you immediate relief of swelling and pain.
The reason that I like sarsaparilla and sandalwood is because it can be made into patch, held on by a band aid. This will allow the oils and natural juices to absorb into the affected area of skin, which can help to kill acne causing bacteria.
Aloe and sulfur are also very good treatment options for the fight against acne. You can use aloe Vera topically to reduce swelling and relieve the pain associated with pimples. Sulfur can actually kill the bacterium that causes acne if applied directly to the skin, because like tea tree oil, it has natural antibacterial agents.
With the use of some or all of these, you should be well on your way to successfully treating and overcoming the acne that has pelages you. Please do use caution, because you may be allergic to some of these natural treatments. If you are unsure, consult with your doctor.
