Describing Rosacea And Rosacea Treatment

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Millions of people suffer from a disorder known as Rosacea which can be treated. Rosacea primarily appears mainly on the face and can also affect the neck, scalp, chest, and ears. Rosacea, a disorder, is recognized by constantly flaring-up and then going into remission. Rosacea treatment when symptoms are discovered quickly works more effectively.

Facial redness is the most prevalent of the symptoms that are associated with Rosacea. Rosacea sufferers include women and men. It is most widely diagnosed in women but men are stricken with the most severe symptoms. At the first appearance of Rosacea symptoms, women are most likely to see a doctor and get treatment. Unfortunately, men procrastinate until the symptoms are severe before they seek treatment.

There are four types of Rosacea. The four types of Rosacea are facial redness, bumps and pimples, skin thickening, and eye irritation. The most common symptoms of Rosacea are continual redness, visible blood vessels, flushing of the skin, and bumps and pimples. The cause for Rosacea is not known, there are no tests designed to diagnose the disorder, and there is no cure. Although there is no cure there are treatments for Rosacea.

The treatments for Rosacea are oral and topical medications which are prescribed by a doctor. Many doctors also prescribe a skin care program to go along with the medication. Doctors also recommend that Rosacea sufferers make changes in their daily lives in order to remain in remission.

Some of the most commonly used oral medications that are prescribed for the treatment of Rosacea are Erythromycin and Tetracycline. Erythromycin and Tetracycline are both antibiotics which are used to suppress symptoms. They also help with the pimples and bumps that are a result of Rosacea. The most common topical medication is Metrogel which is also an antibiotic. Metrogel helps to decrease the redness and swelling as well as to decrease the number of pimples.

Doctors encourage those that suffer from Rosacea to have a routine that is gentle for the skin. Mild non-abrasive cleaners are recommended for facial cleansing. Sunlight increases the risk of a flare-up so Doctors encourage Rosacea sufferers to take precautions when going out into the sun. Doctors prescribe the application of daily sunscreen.

Rosacea sufferers are encouraged to identify things in their life that cause flare-ups. Rosacea sufferers should closely examine their lifestyle and make changes as necessary. Some of the things that should be looked at are foods they eat, beverages they consume, products they apply to their skin, and amount of stress, just to name a few. Although there is no currently no known cure Rosacea treatment can greatly reduce the symptoms and allow those who suffer from this disorder to live a normal life.

Rosacea treatment is a necessary part of life long care for individuals suffering from this skin condition. Read up atthe Rosacea Treatment Guide to learn more about rosacea treatments like OTC medications, IPL laser treatment, and PDL laser treatment for rosacea.

Acne Rosacea Treatment System Can Keep Your Face Blemish Free

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009
by Jayne Barnes

Rosacea is a common skin problem that affects millions of adults. Most of the time this condition does not appear until after the age of thirty. Rosacea can weaken the skin, and it can also diminish the skins natural ability to fight off bacteria. The result will be adult acne outbreaks. Finding a good acne rosacea treatment system is critical if you want to keep your skin clear.

If you have started to notice a redness across your cheeks and nose that just wont go away then you need to see your doctor right away. The chances are good that you may have rosacea, but since there are other conditions that can mimic rosacea it is a good idea to get a formal diagnosis. If you leave rosacea untreated it can develop into an acne outbreak. Sometimes these pimples can lead to larger bumps and produce infected areas on your face.

As you search for a good acne rosacea treatment product you need to remember that natural is best. You also need to make sure that any product you use for acne is suitable for use with rosacea and vice-versa. It is a bad idea to use an over the counter acne treatment for rosacea acne. The chemicals in this type of treatment would be too harsh for your sensitive skin.

If you want the best natural acne rosacea product you need to search for total skin care systems. These systems are designed to gently cleanse your skin and to provide gentle topical treatments that will reduce acne outbreaks and rosacea symptoms. You should look for those that say they are organic because this will be the best for your skin.

Acne rosacea treatment may seem complicated. However, you can make it easy if you adhere to a few simple rules. Never buy a product that has harsh chemicals or fragrances. Stay away from drinks, foods and pollutants that you know will cause your acne to flare up. Always cleanse your face twice daily with a mild, natural cleanser.

How To Get Rid Of Acne Scars

by Jack Daumer

Acne scars are the leftover product of severe acne. Many people find them unsightly and want to get rid of the acne scars.

There are different levels of acne scarring. People have different cases for example ranging from heavy scarring to light scarring. Because of this range, there are different types of treatment for each level.

Prevention is the key to treating acne scars. When you have your acne, you have to be prudent in taking care of it. Do not pop the pimples as that would cause acne scars and also spread the germs which causes more acne.

Try to wash your face twice a day with antibacterial soap. The antibacterial soap kills bacterium that causes the acne and thereby reducing the chance of acne scars.

If you have a very mild case of acne scarring, then you can use acne scar creams which can be found at drugstores. These drugs do not require prescription. The way they work is by slowly dissolving the acne scars and blending in to your skin.

If that does not work, try getting a chemical peel. This is done at the dermatologists office where they put a peel with acid on your face. It will take off the top layer of your skin and leave the smooth skin underneath.

Try using a dermabrasion to get rid of your acne scar. This is also done in a dermatologists office. The dermatologist will use a facial sander to remove the top layer of skin.

Finally, the most expensive of all the procedures is the laser resurfacing. The process works very similarly to dermabrasion except for the fact that the sander is replaced with a laser.

Other than the OTC medications, all of these procedures to get rid of acne scars should be done at a dermatologists office. They usually require some recovery time for the skin to grow back after treatment.

Why You Should Embrace Tea Tree Oil for Beautiful Skin

by Acshe Reineey

Australia is the home to many exclusive and beautiful life forms, among them is a piece of vegetation called Melaleuca Alternifolia. This plant is what enables us to get the powerful liquid Tea Tree Oil.

If we were to take the Melaleuca Alternifolia plant and exude the liquid from it, that liquid would turn out to be the oil that we are seeking. This oil is very potent and has more uses at treating ailments than one would care to believe. The people of Australia are very lucky that they have the gift of exclusivity on this plant and the knowledge to harness all its beneficial properties.

The native peoples of the land from down under, the Aborigines, have been working with the oil for many generations to cure themselves of various maladies, such as the common cold. They do this by breathing in the strong oil vapors. When used on the skin, it does wonders for treating things like cuts and bruises, not to mention acne.

Everyone knows how strong it is and its great bacterial fighting nature. To get the most powerful effect out of it, it is best to use it without diluting it, but at the same time, even the smallest amount will go very far in producing the desired healing.

Athletes Foot is no match when battling against Tea Tree Oil….the oil is just too damn effective. This goes back to the fact that the oil has natural anti-fungal properties that go to work when applied to an effected foot or feet. Your feet will be back to normal in no time once you use the oil.

Nobody likes dandruff. Unfortunately though, it happens to lots of people very often. One of the main reasons why it does is because of the fact they are using off the shelf regular pharmaceutical shampoos. If they knew better, they would invest in Tea Tree Oil shampoo instead as it thoroughly moisturizes the scalp instead of drying it out.

How to Prevent Aging with Night Cream

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009
by Amy Nutt

Any night owl knows that after mainstream television has gone off the air the boob tube becomes inundated with infomercials that promise to make you lose weight, grow hair or stay looking young forever. The most popular of the latter category appears to be beauty products, like night creams, that make promises of eradicating wrinkles and fine lines like a Botox filled injection. What many of these companies won’t tell you is their night creams are filled with harsh chemicals that will harm the skin and actually do more damage as time wears on. Knowing this, what can informed women who desperately want to reverse or prevent aging signs do? Investigate organic night cream options made from ingredients with a proven track record is what.

Benefits of Using Night Creams

Many women understand how important it is to keep their skin cleansed and moisturized during the day, but few realize the benefits of using a nice night cream.

Well, just as a day routine will protect the skin from the harsh elements we face on a daily basis, a night cream takes advantage of sleeping skin’s increased elasticity. This relaxed state makes the ingredients in the cream absorb more quickly and your skin can feel and look more rejuvenated.

This of course goes a long way towards decreasing the signs of aging, which often occurs when the skin loses essential compounds to keep it elastic and youthful in appearance. That said, the night cream you use is only as good as the materials found within it.

Bonus of Nighttime Organic Skin Care

Although science likes to point out that the claims of organic products can be a bit ambiguous, they cannot dispute that many natural components, like soy or shitake mushrooms, have been used for centuries in health and beauty regimens. There is a reason why these types of ingredients have such longevity and it is largely because they work. To get great results and prevent aging, leave the man made chemicals behind and look for a night cream that can truly prevent the signs of aging without destroying your skin in the process.

The advantages of organic night care are plentiful and include:

1. Less likelihood of drying and peeling because of harsh chemical bases, like parabens, which can also cause serious health risks with prolonged use 2. All natural materials will absorb into the skin quickly and effectively because they are easy to break into their natural components 3. Unless you are allergic to an ingredient, you are less likely to have a bad reaction to an organic night cream 4. A nightly, organic skin regime keeps the skin supple and moist and therefore can prevent the signs of aging far better than using a daily routine alone.

What’s more, many organic night cream providers can be located online and have prices comparable to the over the counter, mainstream brands- some are even less expensive while being more effective.

A night cream is an essential weapon in the bid to prevent aging signs on the skin. To find an organic night cream that is suitable for your skin type, do a bit of research and try to locate manufacturers with a great reputation for presenting a high quality product at an affordable price

Match your Skin Type with the Right Moisturizer

Monday, October 5th, 2009
by Amy Nutt

It is important that you understand how you can match your skin type with the right type of moisturizer because there is no one size fits all solution when it comes to properly moisturizing. There isn’t a single product that is going to work wonders for everyone - You have to find the right product based on the unique and individual needs of your own skin. With a properly formed skincare routine, there is no reason why you cannot achieve soft, smooth and oil free skin.

Soft and supple skin is going to depend on the use of a good moisturizer in order to keep it feeling nice and smooth. You need to determine what your skin type is, and how your skin responds to different types of skin care product in order to choose the most appropriate skin care products for your own unique needs. Whether your skin is old or young, oily or dry, sensitive or a nice combination between these qualities, there is a product that will work better than the others to deliver the results you seek.

Dry Skin

Skin is capable of coming dry without giving us any warning as a result of the constant exposure to the many elements such as sun and wind or to chemicals like chlorine. Skin that is not producing the right level of natural oils is also capable of becoming dry quite easily. It is best for you to moisturize skin that is dry heavily using an oil based type of moisturizer. When your skin returns to the normal conditions, then you can decrease your frequency of moisturizing the skin as necessary.

Oily Skin

Even oily skin is capable of being soft, clean, sooth and beautiful if you implement the right type of skin care routine. Caring for your oily skin can be frustrating, but with the right combination of exfoliating, cleansing, moisturizing and toning you can really make a difference. If you have skin that is excessively oily, then you should choose an oil-free and gentle moisturizer for the best results. You may also want to choose a water based moisturizer in order to avoid adding more oil to your skin.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is capable of being normal, oily or dry all at the same time, or one or the other during random times. You should be caring for combination style skin using a varied routine. You can moisturize frequently with the use of an oil based moisturizer when your skin is dry, and then when it takes on an oily texture you can switch to a gentle water based moisturizer. If your skin is showing signs of both of these types then you can choose a moisturizer that is specifically intended to handle combination style skin.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is capable of being sensitive to different chemicals, cleansers and elements so the best approach to caring for and moisturizing sensitive skin is to use a gentle product. Choose a face moisturizer that is hypoallergenic and fragrance free and use it as needed.

How to Get Rid of Back Acne

Friday, September 25th, 2009
by Jonathan Lecner

Some people have acne on their back, which is also called bacne. However, many people who do have bacne are not as overly concerned about it as facial acne.

However, if you plan on going swimming anytime soon, you would probably want to get rid of that bacne. The methods for getting rid of bacne are similar to that of getting rid of facial acne.

There are several ways in which you get rid of back acne. However, not all remedies will work with everybody. Some remedies work better than for other people. You should keep trying different remedies until one works well for you.

Wash your back twice a day to get rid of the bacne oil. This clears the oil from your back so that they do not linger causing more acne to grow. Try not to use products that are oil based to clean your back.

Stay away from oily and fatty foods. Fried foods are also on the do not eat list. Instead, eat healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables to keep your body toxin free.

Use acne treatment products that contain salicylic acid when washing your face. Facial scrubs used to treat acne on the face can also be used on the back.

If none of the other methods works for clearing up your acne, you may have to resort to seeing the dermatologist. They can prescribe to you something stronger that should work more effectively.

In some cases, the dermatologist may use antibiotics to combat the bacteria. However, it is used less nowadays due to bacteria becoming stronger and less susceptible to antibiotics.

Acne may also be due to fluctuations in hormones. You may be given contraceptives to balance your hormones. Please make sure you understand the side effects before taking contraceptives.

Do not pop the pimples yourself since this only aid in spreading the bacteria around. If you have to do it yourself, make sure you use a sterilized pin.

Finding the Best Natural Acne Treatment for You

Monday, September 21st, 2009
by Dustin Scott

When it comes to finding the best natural acne treatment available, fortunately there are several viable choices to consider rather than being forced to use expensive and messy creams and lotions or prescription medications that usually aren’t as effective.

Acne is a condition in which the skin becomes inflamed due to the over-activity of oil glands in the skin and bacterial infection. This extremely common skin disease affects around 85% of people at some point in their lives and can range from the very mild to extremely severe in terms of its symptoms.

The outward condition and appearance of our skin can tell us a great deal about what’s going on inside the body. Making simple changes in your diet can be one of the absolute best natural acne treatment methods you could do for yourself. Because each and every person’s body is different, foods that exacerbate acne outbreaks for one person may have no affect on another, so just because dairy products or chocolate cause flare-ups for some people they may not for others.

Drinking ample amounts of water is imperative when dealing with acne, and it also helps the rest of the body and its organs to function better. Eight glasses each day will keep your skin and your system well hydrated and protected.

Besides getting plenty of rest and keeping stress and tension at a minimum, if you have acne, protecting your skin from the ravages of the sun and its ultraviolet (UV) rays should also be at the top of your list of priorities. And, contrary to some popular belief, a sunburn that causes peeling skin is not an effective, or even safe, way of treating acne. Exposure to UV rays increases your risk of skin cancer, hastens the aging process, and depletes the skin of much needed moisture.

Since you’ll be avidly avoiding the sun, or using a sunscreen with a high SPF (Sun Protection Factor), make sure your diet includes foods rich with vitamin D like fruits, vegetables, and vitamin enriched dairy products.

Avoiding harsh skin cleansers is another important part of a natural acne treatment program. Instead of these products, try using a paste made from fresh basil leaves and sandalwood to clean your skin. Crushed strawberry leaves and witch hazel also work well, especially if you happen to have dry skin. Never use rubbing alcohol, however - this will dry out your skin, causing further irritation and making your acne worse!

Always remember to gently wash the face or any skin that’s affected by acne as excessive rubbing or using too much pressure will cause damage beneath the surface and possibly lead to permanent scars. Choose mild cleaning products containing aloe or vitamin E that are intended for your skin type and use a soft cloth or pouf meant to be used on sensitive skin or skin with acne.

Finding the best natural acne treatment for you takes some trial and error. You won’t hit upon the right combination right off the bat, but you will soon find a acne treatment which is perfect for your skin and before you know it, your acne troubles will be a thing of the past.
